Scott began his music career in Wisconsin in the early ’90′s. He spent his teenage years attending Milwaukee’s prestigious High School of The Arts by day, while playing in clubs and touring by night. In the Fall of 2008, Scott joined the Gregg Allman Band as a touring guitarist, being hailed as “Gregg Allman’s secret weapon” by Glide magazine. Scott has developed a close musical relationship with Allman over the last 9 years and serves as Musical Director for the Gregg Allman Band.

There's a new Local 518 rising star. Her name is Sydney Worthley.  We could have been knocked over with a feather when we learned she was a mere 14 years old. Her lyrics belie that age. She has a mature outlook on life, and has a very powerful voice.

Catch Sydney at a show, especially at the CD release show on July 1st at Jupiter Hall in the Lucky Strike at Crossgates Mall.

Take a listen to her session below. And visit her website to learn more.

Apart from from Buddhist temples, parts of Japan sure do look like Central Illinois. At least that's the story sweetly told in director Chris Strong's video for "My Instincts Are The Enemy," where Japanese and Japanese Americans sing along to the song while bowling, making noodles and getting tattooed.

"Where the birds sing a pretty song..." Worry not — no spoilers ahead.

Joshua James' new album is called My Spirit Sister. Released a little over a decade into his career, it features staggering honesty — the kind of stuff that's difficult to say out loud, let alone sing. For example, James wrote the song "Millie" when his wife was pregnant with their second child and he was having severe doubts. "I really just had no idea how to cope with it," James says. "Should I just leave this gal with her mom and just depart and try to start again? What am I to do?"
